Production and productivity

The initiative has boosted coffee production and productivity in Buganda and across Uganda. Buganda now contributes approximately 45% of Uganda’s total coffee exports.

Reliable and premium markets

MTL connects farmers, farmer groups, and cooperatives to structured markets for green coffee, value addition, and export supply.

Household income

Many farming households have experienced improved income and economic stability through coffee cultivation and market access.

Sustainability that starts with farmers.

Together with the Kingdom of Buganda, MTL champions agroforestry among coffee farmers and coffee farming communities through the Ekibira kya Kabaka initiative.

The company also delivers capacity building on EUDR compliance, Fairtrade practices, and climate-smart agriculture.
